    Revolution over evolution.

With a completely new engine and chassis, developed straight from HRC’s CRF450R and MX factory teams, the CRF250R will make you feel like a works rider. The power-to-weight ratio has been improved for even better handling, stability and traction. Performance can be personalised by using the three adjustable maps – EMSB (Engine Mode Select Button) – to tune the engine’s output to suit you, the ride and the track. This bike is built to pull out an advantage everywhere.

    Overview

    • Serious MX Performance

For 2015, the CRF250R uses the sixth generation aluminium twin-beam frame, which has been built from the ground up retaining a focus on mass centralisation. It also features rigidity levels that’s been ‘tuned’ in certain key areas to improve rider feel when landing from jumps, with revised geometry for increased front and rear traction, and turning ability.

      Twin Pipe Beauty

A CRF450R specification airbox is married to a dedicated CRF250R air boot and twin rear mufflers – centralising mass once again, which is an exclusive and improved feature to the CRF250R.

      Ultimate state of perfection

The new CRF250R has been honed to an even higher state of perfection and, once again HRC has created a motorcycle in a state of the purest balance that is proving to be the ultimate riding tool for the professional and amateur alike.

      To evolution and beyond

During this cycle of development HRC’s race engineers focused attention on a number of areas to further improve the CRF250R engine’s output and delivery. The 249cc liquid-cooled four-valve Unicam unit has always impressed with its broad spread of useable power, no matter the revs, in addition to a crisp and instant throttle response.

  • CRF450R

This is a full model change for the CRF450R. Nothing has been overlooked, and we have been relentless in our effort to provide customers with a machine that’s ahead of the pack. Our focus has been on producing a machine with exceptional engine performance, outstanding rear-wheel traction, and a low centre of gravity, to create a 5% improvement in acceleration over the previous model. The phrase underpinning development was “Absolute Holeshot”.

We have already started racing and perfecting the 2017 CRF450R in the Japanese MX championship, winning the first five motos in succession. We are now proud to offer a machine with this kind of performance to motocross lovers around the globe.

    Overview

    • Engine

The CRF450R’s liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder Unicam 449cc engine now provides a full 11% more top-end power than the outgoing model. The power and torque are stronger everywhere, but especially through the midrange torque area and at the top end, with a major increase in rpm, peak power and over-rev. The engine now uses a scavenge pump to distribute the oil by force (rather than spray) for both transmission and clutch, reducing friction, improving lubrication efficiency and greatly reducing pumping losses.

      Chassis

The completely redesigned chassis gives the rider absolute control of the CRF450R’s new power-up engine. The goals for this seventh generation of CRF aluminium beam frame were clear: to improve turning performance, front-end stability and traction, plus rear-wheel drive with elevated levels of rider feedback and predictability.

      Titanium Fuel Tank

The new CRF450R now incorporates a 6.3L titanium fuel tank, which weighs 513g less than the plastic design before it. The loss of half a kilo high on the machine contributes significantly to the lower centre of gravity.

      New rider controls

The rider controls and displays are now rationalised together and sited on the left handlebar: engine stop button, EFI warning, plus EMSB (Engine Mode Select Button) and LED indicator. Honda’s EMSB is the key that puts instant engine character adaptability at the rider’s command. With the machine stopped and engine at idle, a simple press and hold of the button for just under a second selects the next map in sequence.
